Welcome to the Extreme Energy Education Event

This community event focuses on promoting renewable and sustainable energy and while it is the signature project of the Treasure Coast Research Park, it is supported by multiple community partners, including the St. Lucie County School Board, St. Lucie County, the City Of Ft. Pierce, the University of Florida/IFAS and the US Department of Agriculture.  Eight middle school teams design and build alternative fuel go-karts. This full day of fun also includes exhibits from sustainable energy, conservation and educational organizations. The highlight of the day is the student go-kart race time trials. The day concludes with awards for the best teams.

We welcome community support for this innovative, hands-on learning experience that develops Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) skills in our local youth as XE3 is convinced our young people hold the key to solving our nation’s energy crisis.  You can be part of this exciting day since XE3 is a non-profit 501 c 3 organization and all donations are tax deductable.   Consider investing in the future and become a sponsor, a vendor, exhibitor or volunteer.
